Signature Series new build "original" 205's
From 1986 to the mid-90s, Dimma UK constructed around 250 classic Dimma 205’s. These vehicles have now become coveted collector’s items. However, many have deteriorated due to neglect over the years, and restoring the most damaged ones to their original state is a laborious and time-consuming task. In 2014, we chose to produce a series of “new build” cars. It was simpler to locate good, straight, rust-free standard 205 GTI’s than a pristine Dimma. These cars underwent a thorough “nut and bolt” refurbishment both inside and out, and were equipped with a brand new original Dimma kit, with most receiving a Dimma leather retrim. Our goal is to create vehicles that will endure for another 40 years! Over the past decade, we have built 11 Signature cars. These cars are adorned with the appropriate Dimma Design Plaque and kit number under the hood, as well as a Terry Pankhurst Signature Series plaque on the dashboard.
